Ideas

Here are my ideas for my film synopsis and my idea for the opening:

Film plot
-Equilibrium: Girl leads unhappy relationship with boyfriend, wants more out of life, rather than waitressing and paying for her studies.
-Disruption: She meets a wealthy man (Leon) who leaves her a letter confessing his love for her.
-Recognition of disruption: She falls in love with this suitor and can no  longer supress her feeling for him and kisses him, her suitor promising to return the following day to elope. Her boyfriend (Victor) sees this and follows Anna when she is alone and kidnaps her.
-Attempt to repair disruption: Leon finds out that Anna has been kidnapped and sets of to rescue her. He finds Anna in Victor's apartment and then unties her. In an epic bloodbath, Leon is slit down his face, but whilst Victor is distracted, Leon takes the knife and plunges it in to  Victor's heart. Victor drops to the floor.
-Reinstatement of Equilibrium: All seems well as Leon sits on the floor and Anna runs over to kiss him. Suddenly, Leon gasps and a rush of blood pours down on Anna. A knife is seen coming out of his chest as Victor managed to stab him before taking his last breath. She kisses Leon numerous times until she realises he's dead. Anna cradles Leon rocking and weeps.

Film opening idea
-Hands seen chopping meat, a girl is seen walking by. He puts the knife down and picks up a rose and follows her. She enters her rented house, which she shares with her best friend Emily and confesses her unhappiness of her relationship with her boyfriend and considers breaking up with him. She receives a text from her boyfriend asking where she is. She replies that she is working and then receives a text saying "how could you?". The cover man outside watching then stomps of and throws the rose in front of her doorstep.
-In doors high key lighting, outdoor low key.
-Non diegetic music either playing through conversation or during outside scenes

Anna

-Female –Lives in London, Uk in a rented house with Emily -19 years old –Working Class –White/British ethnicity –Has a boyfriend (known for 3 months), but thinks he’s obsessive and controlling, even though she cares about him –Bored and wants more fun in her life, dreams of traveling the world and being successful –Unhappy in life stressed with work and feels burdened by her boyfriend –Wears quite messy/casual clothes –Works as a part time waitress to support herself, but studies part time geography at university.

Emily

-Female –Lives in London, Uk  -Rents a house with Anna, but gets generous financial support from her parents-19 years old –Middle Class –White/British ethnicity –single –Friendly –Caring, worries about her friend –Thinks relationships are a waste of time –Ambitious, wants to be a lawyer –Studies law at the same university as Anna –Dresses quite neat/professionally, wears glasses -

Victor

-Male –Lives in an apartment above his uncle’s shop on his own in London/England -22 years old –Anna is his girlfriend –Is very protective over her, controlling –His dad abandoned him and his mother when he found out she was pregnant with victor –His mother died when he was 6 years old, she was shot by his step dad, so he is extremely protective over Anna to keep her safe (has paranoia) –When the police came to arrest his step dad, he was taken to an orphanage where he remained for 12 years, being abused by staff and bullied by older teenagers there. –On his 18^th birthday, he was released and told that he had an uncle, who would only let him live above his restaurant as long as he works there –works as a senior chef where he discovers that he has a natural flare with knives and food preparation –wears dark, covering/unrevealing clothes

Evaluation

From this task, we have learnt how to use a camera and how important it is to match camera movement/shots. In our opinion we feel that our video is very fluent, however there is certain aspects, which could be improved i.e. the background sound, could be more quite so you can hear the actors more clearly.
